Ultimately, you should be able to have trust in using our website http://eckes-granini.com (operated by: Eckes-Granini Group GmbH, Ludwig-Eckes-Platz 1, 55268 Nieder-Olm). Therefore, we inform you below of how we collect data, how we handle this data and what external services we have integrated into our websites.

1. The Data to be Protected

The data to be protected is personal data. According to Section 3 (1) BDSG [German Data Protection Act], personal data encompasses any details concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes, for example, details such as name, postal address, email address or telephone number, but also usage data such as IP addresses or content data such as photographs or posted comments.

2. Scope and Purpose of the Collection and Storage of Data

Below we clarify the scope of the collection and storage of data, the usage of data and the purpose for which the respective data is collected.

2.1. Personal data

In principle, it is possible to use this website without giving any personal data, unless you are of the opinion that IP addresses always constitute personal data. In this respect, we have to inform you that we collect and store IP addresses as, owing to the technical conditions, we would unfortunately otherwise simply not be able to make our services available to you.

2.1.1. Contacting us via email or using the contact form

If you wish to contact us by email or using a contact form provided on our website, you shall have to leave with us, or send to us, at least the following personal data:

- your email address,
- your first name and surname,
- possibly your telephone number, if you wish to be called back.

We shall use this data exclusively for dealing with your concern and for then contacting you regarding your concern.

2.1.2. Collection of other data

Please also read through our information on cookies (Section 4) and on external services (Section 5).

3. Use of Data for a Specific Purpose; Passing-on of Data

We observe the principle of using data for a specific purpose. We collect, store and use all aforementioned data only for the purposes already mentioned or mentioned below.

We shall under no circumstances use your personal data for other purposes, unless you have expressly given us your consent to such other use of your personal data, such as for example use of your email address for advertising purposes (double opt-in).

Without your express consent, your personal data shall not be passed on to third parties outside of the framework outlined. Any passing-on of your personal data to state institutions and public authorities entitled to this information shall also occur only within the scope of the statutory duties of disclosure or only insofar as we are obliged to provide this information under a judicial ruling.

4. Cookies

Cookies are used on our website. Cookies are small text files that a website places onto the computer of a website visitor, i.e. that a website can store locally. Cookies enable you to use the website. For example, cookies tell us that you have visited our website before and/or that you have entered data on our website before; this makes it easier for you to enter the data again.

You can find out what specific cookies we use by clicking in your browser software on settings, possibly on further settings, and then on content settings and/or cookie management (each browser software has slightly different menu guidance in this respect).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly ("Private mode" - to be found under "Settings" in most browsers). Please note however that, if you do so, you may then be unable to fully use all the features of our website.

Furthermore, you can delete cookies already placed (likewise under "Settings" in your browser).

5. External services - Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (in future: "Google"). Google Analytics is a web analysis tool that can be used to analyse the interaction between visitors and the online platform and, therefore, to further improve the online platform for you. Google Analytics likewise uses "cookies" (text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed). Normally, the information generated by such cookie concerning your use of this online platform will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and be stored there. The information stored by Google Analytics cookies includes, for example, the date and time of the visit to the online platform, the frequency with which the visitor has visited the online platform and from where the visitor has reached the online platform. In order to ascertain the latter value, Google initially records the user's IP address. However, we have activated IP anonymisation on our online platform. As a result, your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area shall be shortened by Google before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases shall your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and be shortened there. Google shall, on our behalf, use the aforementioned information in order to evaluate your use of the website, put together reports on website activities and provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser under Google Analytics shall not be combined with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by Google Analytics by setting your browser software accordingly ("Private mode" - to be found under "Settings" in most browsers). Please note again however that, if you do so, you may then be unable to fully use all the features of this website.

By downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link, you can, furthermore, prevent data (including your IP address) generated by such cookie, and relating to your use of the website, from being recorded and transmitted to Google and being processed by Google:

You can obtain directly from Google further information on data protection in respect of Google Analytics.

6. Duration of Data Storage

We are bound by the principles of data avoidance and data economy. Unless otherwise described herein, we shall store your data only as long as we need your data, e.g. for dealing with a concern that you have brought to our attention. Therefore, your personal data shall, unless otherwise agreed upon, be deleted after your concern has been dealt with.

7. Rights to Information, Revocation and Deletion

You may at any time, without giving reasons, receive free of charge information on your data stored via our website. You may at any time opt out of the use of your data and, as regards use of your data, revoke the consent that you gave us at the time of registration. Furthermore, you may at any time request that your data collected and stored by us be corrected, blocked or deleted. We expressly point out that we might be legally obliged to continue storing data, in which case the data shall only be blocked.
